Privacy Notice

Last updated: 2026

1. Who we are

Leakproof is operated by A.W.N. A.W.N is the data controller responsible for your personal data described in this notice. This notice explains what we collect, why, how we share it, and the rights you have.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Account data — your email address and login credentials, used to create and secure your account.
  • Subscription data you enter — the recurring charges, amounts, renewal dates, and notes you add, used to provide the core Service.
  • Support communications — messages you send us, used to respond to and resolve your requests.
  • Usage and device data — basic telemetry, device identifiers, and IP address, used for security, fraud prevention, and improving the Service.

3. Why we process it (legal bases)

We process account and subscription data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service). We process usage, security, and improvement data on the basis of our legitimate interests in keeping the Service secure and reliable. Where required, we rely on your consent (for example, optional analytics or marketing) and on legal obligations where applicable.

4. How we share data

We share personal data with:

  • Stripe, our payment provider, to process payments, manage subscriptions, handle tax calculation, and provide invoicing;
  • Service providers / subprocessors such as hosting, database, and support tooling that operate the Service on our behalf;
  • Professional advisers (e.g. legal and accounting) and authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When it is no longer needed, or after you delete your account, we delete or anonymise it, unless we are required to retain it to meet a legal obligation.

6. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security so each user can only access their own data.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Where applicable (for example, under the UK GDPR / EU GDPR), you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, and we will respond to requests within the timeframe required by law (generally one month). If we transfer data outside the UK/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage needed to sign you in and remember your preferences (such as theme and language). Where we use optional analytics, we do so only with your consent, and you can manage your preferences in your browser.
